PULIYOGARE RECIPE/PULIYOTHARAI RECIPE/TAMARIND RICE RECIPE/इमली चावल/புளியோதரை

INGREDIENTS:
I - FOR GRINDING:
1 cup Groundnuts
2 tbsps Dhaniya / Coriander seeds
10-12 Red dred chillies
1.5 tbsps Channa dhal
1/2 tbsp Fenugreek seeds
1/2 tbsp Sesame seeds
1 tsp Black Pepper
2 tbsps Dry coconut / Kopra(chopped)

II - FOR TEMPERING:
1 cup Gingely oil
1 tbsp Mustard
2 tbsps Urad dhal
2 tbsps Channa dhal
15-20 Dry Red Chillies
2 tsps Asafoetida
Few Curry Leaves
1 cup Tamarind(thick extract)
2 tsps Turmeric Powder
Salt to taste
1 tbsp Jaggery(powdered)
1 cup Groundnut(roasted)

PREPARATION METHOD:
1. Dry roast all the ingredients mentioned in the ingredients for grinding
2. Grind the roasted ingredients into coarse powder
3. Heat 1 cup of gingely oil in a pan(Can add more oil later, if needed)
4. Now add mustard, urad dhal, channa dhal and dry red chillies 
5. When it starts spluttering, add asafoetida and then curry leaves''
6. Now add Tamarind extract
7. Add turmeric powder and salt to taste
8. Mix well and when it starts boiling, lower the flame and close lid
9. After 5 minutes, open lid
10. Oil starts separating
11. Now add the ground powder to it and mix well
12. Finally add a cup of roasted groundnuts
13. Let it boil for 2 more minutes till oil separates
14. Tasty and tangy Puliotharai mix is ready
15. Add this Puliotharai mix to hot white rice and prepare the traditional Tamarind rice which is otherwise called or well known as Puliotharai in Tamilnadu or Puliogare in Karnataka

CORN BIRIYANI RECIPE/CORN PULAV RECIPE/CORN RICE RECIPE/कॉर्न बिरियानी ...



     Sweet Corn is very nutritious and healthy vegetable, full of protein and rich in fiber.  Corn Pulav is one of the favourite rice varieties of kids.  Sweet Corn is also available in the market through out the year.  So friends, here is an easy and healthy rice variety recipe which you can prepare easily with the help of the video below.

INGREDIENTS:
3 cups Basmathi Rice(soak in water for 10 minutes)
1 cup Sweet Corn kernels
3 Onions - chopped long
4 Tomatoes - finely chopped
8 Green chillies(do not slit)
2 tbsps Ginger Garlic paste
1 cup Pudina/Mint leaves
1/2 cup Coriander leaves, chopped
1 cup Curd
1 tbsp Lemon juice
2 laddles Oil 
2 pieces Cinamon
5 Cloves
4 Cardamom
2 Bayleaves
1 tspn Red Chilli powder
2 tspns Coriander powder
Salt to taste

PREPARATION METHOD:
1. Wash and soak Basmathi rice in water for 10 minutes
2. Measure the water and add 2 cups of water for 1 cup of rice
2. Take a thick bottomed vessel or a Pressure cooker
3. Heat 2 laddles of oil
4. Add Cinamon, Cloves, Cardamom and Bay leaves
5. Add Onions, Ginger garlic paste Tomatoes and Pudina/Mint leaves one by one as shown in the video
6. When tomatoes turns mushy, add curd 
7. When curd releases oil, add lemon juice
8. Now add Red chilli powder, Coriander powder and salt.
9. Saute well   
10. Add rice soaked water and close with a lid.  Let the water boil
11. When the water starts  boiling, add the soaked rice and carefully mix without breaking the rice
12. Again close the lid and simmer for 5 minutes
13. After 5 minutes open the lid and 2 tbsps of ghee and mix gently
14. Now close the lid and leave it for 15 minutes.  
15. After 15 minutes your favourite Corn Pulav is ready...! :)
16. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with Cucumber raitha

VEGETABLE FRIED RICE RECIPE | वेजिटेबल फ्राइड राइस | வெஜிடெபிள் பிரைட் ரைஸ்


     Vegetable fried rice is an Indo-Chinese recipe.  It is one of the all time favourite rice.  Everybody, right from kids to old people would love to have fried rice any time.  There is no need for any side dish.  It is so tasty that it can be had just with tomato sauce.  Fresher  the vegetables, tastier the fried rice.  But only Basmathi rice goes well with it.    


     Vegetable Fried Rice is a very healthy rice because it is full of fresh vegetables.  You can give it to kids for lunch box.  They would definitely love it.
     Here I have described the recipe of a slightly Indianised version of Vegetable Fried Rice.  No soya sauce or vinegar.  You may wonder if the taste would differ.  But it is not so.

INGREDIENTS:


1 cup Carrot(chopped)
1 cup Beans(chopped)
1 cup Green peas(shelled)
2 cups Cabbage(finely chopped)
1 cup Capsicum(chopped)
1 cup Spring Onions(white portion-finely chopped)
1 cup Spring Onions(Green portion-finely chopped)
1 tbsp Garlic(finely chopped)
3 or 4 Green chillies(half slit)
500gms Basmathi rice
Oil for sauteing


PREPARATION METHOD:

1. Take a heavy bottomed vessel and pour oil.
2. First add finely chopped garlic and then you can add 1       
    cup of spring onions(white portion) and green chillies.
3. Next you can add all the vegetables one by one.  First 
    beans, green peas, carrot, cabbage, capsicum and finally 
    spring onions(green portion)
4. Keep sauteing the vegetables in high flame.  Do not lower 
    the flame.  But see to it that the vegies do not get burnt.  
5. When the vegies are half done, add  salt and pepper 
     powder and mix well.  At this stage, you can add soya 
     sauce(optional).
6. Add cooked Basmathi rice and mix well without breaking 
    the rice. 
7. Enjoy your steaming Vegetable Fried Rice with Gobi 
    Manchurian which goes very well with fried rice.
